The Committee on Finance and Revenue is responsible for matters relating to taxation and revenue for the operation of the government of the District of Columbia; general obligation bond acts, revenue anticipation notes, industrial revenue bonds, and the TIF and PILOT programs.

Committee Goals
- Reform of the Office of Tax and Revenue.
- Continued improvements in financial management. Improvement in bond ratings. Assessment of and policy initiatives regarding District’s debt policies.
- Improving functionality and transparency of the Board of Real Property Assessments and Appeals Modernizing the Lottery and increasing its transfer of funds to the General Fund.
- Implementing a systematic approach, with various agency stakeholders, to review and take remedial action on audit findings from CAFR, OIG, and DC Auditor audits
